Acer Aspire One D260 Dual Boots Android and Windows 7: The Acer Aspire One D260 will most probably be the first netboot on the market that gives us option to dual boot Android OS with Windows 7. Available this July 1, this mini notebook computer has all the standard specifications of a netbook but its abililty to run Android out-of-the-box makes it really interesting.

The Acer Aspire One D260 is powered by Intel's new Atom N455/N450 1.66GHz processor, Mobile Intel NM10 Express Chipset, and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 with 64 MB of dedicated system memory. It can be loaded with up to 2GB of RAM and up to 250GB hard drive. The D260 has a 10.1-inch WSVGA display with a 1024×600 pixel resolution, a 93% standard-size keyboard with larger keys for more comfortable typing, and a wider multi-gesture touchpad. It will include a CrystalEye webcam, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet as standard. There is also an option to add Bluetooth 3.0+HS and 3G modem.

As I've said earlier, the Acer Aspire One D260 can be preloaded with Android OS as an option. Booting into the Androd environment will only take about 15 seconds allowing you to quickly access your email or surf the web.

In terms of looks, the Acer Aspire One D260 has a fresh and sleek design. It is only 24 mm thin and weighs around 1.25 kg (for models with 6-cell battery pack). The Acer Aspire One D260 comes in four stylish color combinations: Black Flake, Purple Flake, Pink Flake and Charcoal Flake. I would say that it is definitely one of the best looking netbooks at present.
