QUENCH (CLIQ XT): Motorola Android Smartphone Number 8 Posted: 16 Feb 2010 02:56 AM PST QUENCH (CLIQ XT): The release of the QUENCH (CLIQ XT) marks the eight Android-powered smartphone from Motorola. The company has been creating some popular Android handsets like the Backflip, DROID, and a few others so expect to see more to come. The QUENCH will run Android 1.5 ("Cupcake") and will feature Motorola's very own MOTOBLUR technology. The software supports Adobe Flash Lite making it possible to view rich media content like banners and videos. As for the hardware, the phone has a 3.1-inch (320x480 resolution) touchscreen capable of handling multi-touch gestures like pinch and zoom. The phone will support microSD card slot of up to 32GB. There is no information regarding its processor just yet. Here are other features of the QUENCH that I know of: * 5-Megapixel with autofocus and LED flash * WCDMA, GSM, HSDPA (7.2Mbps), EDGE Class 12, and GPRS Class 12 * WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, aGPS, USB 2.0 * 1420mAh battery (6.5 hour talk time and 13.5-day while on standby) Here's the promotional video of the QUENCH: The QUENCH will be called Cliq XT in the US and will be released through T-Mobile in the first quarter of 2010. |
